Former Inter president and owner Massimo Moratti has today ruled out the possibility of him making a return to the Nerazzurri in some shape or form.

Inter are in a delicate financial moment for a multitude of reasons, namely the COVID-19 pandemic and Chinese government restrictions, and there has been no shortage of groups linked with potential investment.

Interspac are one such group and are a group of famous Inter fans, which includes Moratti, but speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli this afternoon, he played down all speculation.

“Returning to Inter? No, I don’t think so,” Moratti said.

“I’m not ready to go back.

“If they asked me, I wouldn’t want to disturb the Chinese owners.”

Moratti bought Inter in 1995 from Ernesto Pellegrini and would oversee a period of great success at the helm of the Nerazurri club, who won a historic treble under Moratti’s ownership during the 2009-10 season.

The Italian businessman, whose father previously owned Inter, sold his majority stake in the club to Indonesian tycoon Erick Thohir in 2013 and current Inter owners Suning took charge in the Summer of 2016.
