Former Lazio forward has said Lukaku’s incident with Ibrahimović and Conte’s incident with Agnelli were bad scenes but was not surprised as these things happen in football.

Speaking in an interview with Italian radio station Radio DeeJay, Di Canio was asked on his thoughts regarding the two incidents.

I don’t condone it, but it can happen” said the former West Ham and Juventus striker.

Bad episodes, at certain levels we don’t expect certain attitudes, but frictions between people happen, we are human and here we go beyond football.

“It’s not the best fair play example, I’m not saying it’s justified but it can happen. Certain things should not be hidden, there are cameras on purpose.

“Episodes that can happen, but it’s right to show them” expressed Di Canio who had many of his own episodes throughout his eventful career.

Romelu Lukaku’s incident with Zlatan Ibrahimović was probably  the uglier of the two episodes with the pair needing to be separated by team mates to prevent a psychical altercation.

Antonio Conte and Andrea Agnelli was a verbal and visual altercation where Conte responded to verbal insults by gesturing his middle finger towards his former employer.

Despite these two negative incidents Inter’s focus remains solely on their Scudetto charge with the Nerazzurri facing Lazio tomorrow evening in a clash that could prove to be season defining for Inter as they follow this fixture with the Milan derby next weekend.
