Samir Handanovic will celebrate his 500th Serie A appearance tomorrow night as Inter host Lazio at the San Siro, Italian media report.

According to today’s print edition of Tuttosport, Handanovic will be hoping to show potential future replacements that he is not quite done yet when he makes his 500th Serie A appearance tomorrow night.

The Slovenian will have to be in top form tomorrow as Inter face Lazio in an all important Serie A match as the tile race heats up.

After Inter crashed out of the Coppa Italia on Tuesday, all attention turns to the league and Handanovic will be hoping he can captain his side to the title this season.

Despite a mistake in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi final first leg, Handanovic has made some big saves in recent games and will be hoping to fend off competition for his shirt from potential replacements.

The veterans contract expires in 2022 and numerous rumours linking Inter to other goalkeepers will have him feeling his time may be up with the Nerazzurri after this season concludes.
