Sampdoria midfielder Mikkel Damsgaard has praised Inter’s Alexis Sanchez in an interview published this morning with an Italian media outlet.

Speaking in an interview to Sport Week – Gazzetta dello Sport’s weekly magazine, the midfielder expressed how good he thinks the Chilean international striker is.

Alexis Sanchez, he is quick in his legs and in his mind. He is always one step ahead of you” explained Damsgaard when asked which Inter player had impressed him the most.

For me there is no one like Iniesta. For the rest, I am now lucky enough to face great teams like Juve, Inter and Milan and great players.

“Watching them live, I can learn something from each of them” said the Sampdoria youngster.

Alexis Sanchez has played a bit-part role for Inter this season due the dominance of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

The Chilean is an experienced player who when called upon has always provided good performances for the Nerazzurri with his hard working nature and ability to run at defenders.

Rumours of the Chilean leaving Inter circulated in the January transfer window with talks of an Edin Dzeko and Alexis Sanchez between Inter and Roma.

The move never materialised meaning Sanchez will remain with Inter until at least until the end of the season.

Both Inter and Sanchez will hope that they can end this season together by winning the Scudetto and beating rivals AC Milan and Juventus to the prize.
