Former Atalanta and Udinese coach Stefano Colantuono believes the Nerazzurri are within reach of the Serie A title.

Speaking to Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, Colantuono spoke of Inter’s title chances ahead of their crunch match against Lazio this evening.

“Inter will now pour all their energy into the championship, the Scudetto is within reach of the Nerazzurri. Inter are out of the cups and this is an advantage.

“Milan is there and I presume that Juve will focus on the Champions League this year but also remain in the fight for the championship.

“Lazio have recovered greatly, the current one reminds me of the journey of last year before the lockdown. Lazio has everything to do well, Tonight’s game is open to any result” stated Colantuono.

The title race took another twist last night when Juventus and AC Milan both suffered defeats leaving Inter with a huge opportunity to take advantage this evening.

Milan lost by two goals away to Spezia while Juventus fell short in a tough fixture away to Napoli.

These events leave Inter with the chance to go to the top of the pile when they host Lazio this evening in the San Siro.

Lazio arrive in great form having won six of their last six Serie A fixtures and will pose a huge threat to Inter’s chance to go to the top of the league this evening.

Antonio Conte will be aware of the opportunity his team have this evening and will be hoping he and his players can take it with both hands.
