Inter central defender Milan Skriniar told Italian broadcaster he is pleased with this evenings victory and will now turn his attention to next weeks derby.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia after Inter’s triumph over Lazio in the San Siro, the Slovakian international defender highlighted that attention will now turn to next weeks derby.

We worked for this, to stay high up the table and we are happy. Now we enjoy the victory, from tomorrow we will start preparing for the derby” expressed Skriniar.

The former Sampdoria defender also commented on tonight’s opponents and the task Inter faced going into the match this evening.

Lazio are a good team, we knew what match awaited us. We are happy to have won, we could have scored even more but it was an important signal.”

Inter now sit at the top of the Serie A standings after an impressvie 3-1 victor over Lazio this evening.

A Romelu Lukaku brace and a Lautaro Martinez goal gave Inter enough to take all three points this evening against a Lazio side who had won six out of their last six league fixtures.

Inter over took AC Milan on their way to the top of the table after cross town rivals Milan lost to Spezia last night.

Now the two Milan clubs will meet next weekend in the Serie A in one of the biggest Milan derbies we have seen for the past decade.
