Italian Journalist Mario Sconcerti believes that Inter’s clash with Lazio this evening is even more important in the title race after AC Milan and Juventus both lost yesterday.

In his editorial in today’s print edition of the Corriere della Sera, Sconcerti highlighted the importance of tonight’s fixture between Inter and Lazio, as reported by FcInter1908.

Tonight’s Inter vs Lazio becomes so fundamental to understand the new importance of the others.

This does not throw away Milan’s chances to win the championship, but it reopens it to everyone, after a year it cancels the indefinite growth of the Rossoneri and the feeling that they had become the new reference point.

Everyone’s slowness frees the league from it’s obligations, there is no longer a dominant thought .

“The defeat of Juventus confirms this, the data underline it. It is Milan’s third defeat in seven games, but also Juve’s third in nine.

“If I were Inter I would be quick to try to win, because Lazio are the the thinnest team out of the top teams in terms of squad depth” explained Sconcerti.

Inter are poised with a fantastic opportunity this evening to reach the top of the league if they can defeat Lazio at the San Siro.

AC Milan and Juventus’ losses yesterday mean a victory for Inter will see them top the pile in Serie A.

For Lazio, yesterdays results also open doors for opportunities as a victory tonight would see them move above Napoli and Juventus and sit in fourth place, level on points with third placed Roma.

After years of Juventus dominated league tables, this season releases a breath of fresh air with the biggest clubs in Italy all up at the top competing for the Scudetto and the Champions League places.
