According to today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport, Lautaro Martinez is a vital part of the Inter side despite the Argentine’s missed chances this season.
Martinez is one of many of Inter’s young guns with the potential to be a world beater one day, however the strikers missed chances are not going unnoticed.
The former Racing Club striker missed a great opportunity on Tuesday evening in Inter’s 0-0 draw with Juventus in the Coppa Italia semi final second leg, a goal that would have given Inter a first step in the fight to progress to the final.
Martinez also missed a good opportunity in the Champions League group stage game with Shaktar Donetsk that would have seen Inter progress to the next round with three points.
Despite these missed opportunities Martinez has still scored some important goals for Inter and remains a vital part of the team.
Lautaro forms one half of Inter’s formidable striker partnership with his team mate Romelu Lukaku.
The pair could fire Inter to the top of Serie A with a victory tonight against Lazio in the San Siro.
