Federico Dimarco is the answer to Inter’s dilemma in the left wing-back position, according to the Nerazzurri’s former defender Daniele Adani.

Dimarco was involved in both goals for Hellas Verona tonight as Ivan Juric’s side came from behind to defeat Parma 2-1, causing an own goal from Alberto Grassi before setting up Antonin Barak for the winner.

He has now scored three goals and provided four assists for the Gialloblu this season, earning him rave reviews as one of Serie A’s most exciting young full-backs.

“Dimarco could be important for completing Antonio Conte’s squad at Inter,” Adani told Sky Sport Italia following Hellas Verona’s win at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.

“He’s a modern full-back, who plays with quality and has a great left foot.”

“He’s a player to keep an eye on for the Italian national team too, in fact it was Roberto Mancini who gave him his first-team debut for the Nerazzurri after Stefano Vecchi coached him in the Primavera.”

Dimarco re-joined Hellas Verona on loan with an option to buy for €4.5 million last summer, having already spent the second half of the 2019-20 campaign there.

Inter would then have a counter-option to re-sign the 23-year-old for €6 million, though, should Juric’s side exercise their own option.

Conte’s side do not have a dependable left-footed option at wing-back, although Ivan Perisic impressed during last night’s 3-1 win over Lazio.

Hellas Verona are ninth in Serie A after 22 games, just one point behind Sassuolo.
