Inter coach Antonio Conte told Italian TV broadcaster that Inter must continue the way they are going in order to win the Serie A title.

Speaking to Inter TV immediately after the Nerazzurri successfully defeated Lazio at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan’s San Siro district, Conte highlighted his side must continue the way they are doing.

Congratulations to the team because it was a difficult match against an excellent team that even today has shown that they have quality and a precise identity.

“We have shown that we are starting to be a team with a capital T, which begins to manage moments with maturity, we are on track and this is very important.

“The boys deserve this kind of satisfaction. Having said that, for us it must be a starting point and certainly not a point of arrival.

“There are 16 games left, we must continue to work like this” expressed Conte after his side performed well in tonight’s victory.

Antonio Conte could not hide his joy when Lautaro Martinez tapped in Inter’s third goal of the night and the former Chelsea manager joined his players in the celebrations.

I celebrated with the boys, it is the emblem of the unity of the group, of playing and of those who play less.

“We live the situation with participation because we know what work we are doing and what we are giving to make the fans proud.

“Let it be passion, enthusiasm, we must continue like this” explained Conte on his involvement in the celebrations.

Inter now face another huge test in the race for the Scudetto as they face AC Milan next Sunday in a Milan derby that could effect the title race for the first time in a decade.

Now we have a week after a very long time in which we played every 3 days, and in the last period we have faced important teams such as Juve and Milan in the Italian Cup, as well as Fiorentina and Lazio in the league.

“The derby in the league for Milan represents great satisfaction because after so many years a top derby is being played between two teams that are first and second.

“Then in the derbies the less we talk, the better, you have to win them on the pitch, period and that’s it” concluded Conte.

The Milan derby next Sunday evening is set to prove to be a huge six-pointer with both clubs fighting for the Scudetto for the first time in almost a decade.

If Inter manage to take all three points they will create a four point gap between themselves and AC Milan and be one step closer to the coveted Serie A title.
