Milan Skriniar was at his brilliant best for Inter in their 3-1 win against Lazio last night, a report in the Italian media said today.

The Slovak did not put a foot wrong against the Biancocelesti as Antonio Conte’s side sat deep and ruthlessly punished their opponents on the counterattack.

Tuttosport’s print edition handed Skriniar a rating of 7.5/10 for his performance at San Siro, in which the 26-year-old helped Inter go top of Serie A for the first time this season.

“He was an insurmountable wall in the penalty area,” the Turin-based publication wrote.

Romelu Lukaku was unsurprisingly judged to be Inter’s best performing player on Sunday, getting a rating of 8.5/10 after scoring twice and setting up Lautaro Martinez for the Nerazzurri’s third goal.

Lautaro took 7.5 alongside Skriniar while Alessandro Bastoni, Stefan de Vrij, Marcelo Brozovic, Christian Eriksen and Ivan Perisic were all given 7/10.

Achraf Hakimi and Nicolo Barella both got 6.5/10, while Samir Handanovic, Roberto Gagliardini and Alexis Sanchez were scored at 6/10.

Conte also earned high praise with TS handing him 7.5/10 for his coaching performance against Simone Inzaghi.

“Inter flew to the top of the table by unleashing all their power on the counterattack and playing a terrific defensive game,” the report read.

“It’s a cocktail that has the taste of the Scudetto.”
