Antonio Conte’s Inter team fits Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez like a glove, according to an Italian media report today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition sung the praises of the Nerazzurri’s prolific strike partnership, which has combined to provide 27 league goals for the Nerazzurri this season.

Lukaku has scored 16 of those with Lautaro providing the other 11, after both found the net during Sunday’s 3-1 win at home to Lazio.

Conte has set the Nerazzurri up in such a way to allow Inter to get the best out of both players, with Lukaku acting as a focal point while Lautaro moves about and adapts to various attacking situations.

Lukaku and Lautaro have been playing together for 18 months but they struck up an immediate understanding following the Belgian’s arrival from Manchester United in 2019.

The Rome-based publication said Conte had a ‘real treasure’ on his hands in Lu-La but admitted it was thanks to the former Juventus and Italy boss that both were expressing their full potential.
