Inter’s Achraf Hakimi has been more prolific in Serie A this season than his AC Milan counterpart Theo Hernandez, a report in the Italian media highlighted today.

Hakimi’s battle on the wing with Hernandez is likely to be crucial to the outcome of Sunday’s Derby della Madonnina, with Inter looking to extend their lead at the top of the table to four points.

Gazzetta dello Sport, via their online edition, pointed out that the Moroccan wing-back had scored six goals and five assists in 22 league games, whereas Hernandez had just four goals and four assists in 19 games.

Hakimi also led the way in terms of interceptions, with 53 to his name so far in comparison to the French left-back’s tally of 33.

Hernandez has won more tackles this season, with 119 to Hakimi’s 76, as well as winning more fouls with a score of 46 to 21.

The AC Milan full-back has also completed more key passes, with 29 to 25, but Hakimi comes out on top for ‘big chances’ created, having notched up six to Theo’s four.
