Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is thinking about making a move for Inter striker Romelu Lukaku, according to an Italian media report today.

As per Gazzetta dello Sport, a year and a half on from leaving the Premier League for Inter, Lukaku is once again wanted in the Premier League with current table toppers City said to be keen on a deal for him.

Lukaku hit his 299th and 300th career goals – including national team goals –  during the Nerazzurri’s 3-1 win over Lazio on Sunday, with the report highlighting that only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo scored 300 career goals quicker than him.

The 27-year-old is part of an exclusive club when it comes to having notched 300 career goals among active players with the only others, in addition to those above, to have done so being Luis Suarez, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Karim Benzema and Robert Lewandowski.

Despite the goals, the report insists that above all Lukaku wants to win trophies and he has a pact in place with Inter coach Antonio Conte, a pact which has been important in Inter sitting at the top of the Serie A right now.
