Arturo Vidal will recover in time to feature in this weekend’s Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan, according to an Italian media report tonight.
As per Gazzetta dello Sport‘s online edition, the Chilean international’s presence is not in doubt after spending the last few days recovering from the knee injury he sustained two weeks ago, which forced him off at half-time of Inter’s 2-0 win at Fiorentina.
Vidal stepped up the intensity of his training today as he increased his workload at Appiano Gentile, but it remains to be seen whether the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona midfielder will be picked to start Sunday’s big match.
A number of reports today have in fact suggested Christian Eriksen could be favoured by Antonio Conte due to his recent good form.
Vidal, who joined Inter on a two-year deal with an option for a third last summer, has made 26 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
