Daniele Doveri has been appointed as the referee for this weekend’s Derby della Madonnina between AC Milan and Inter.

The 43-year-old, who has been a referee in Serie A since 2010, will be assisted at San Siro by Ciro Carbone and Giorgio Peretti while the fourth official duties will be carried out by Marco Guida.

Maurizio Mariani will be in charge of VAR in the match between the Rossoneri and Nerazzurri and he will have Daniele Bindoni alongside to assist him.

Sunday afternoon’s clash between the Milanese clubs will be the 14th game across all competitions that Doveri referees.

It will be the second time he referees AC Milan this while it will be the third time he officiates a match involving Inter.

Doveri oversaw AC Milan’s 2-1 win over Bologna, as well as taking charge of Inter’s 1-1 draw with Atalanta and their 2-0 Derby d’Italia win over arch rivals Juventus in January.

Inter head into this match sitting top of the table, one point clear of AC Milan.
