Inter’s Milan Skriniar Now Worth €60M After Tottenham’s €35M Offer Last Summer, Italian Media Claim

Inter would not accept anything less than €60 million now to sell Milan Skriniar, according to an Italian media report today.

As per Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition, Tottenham Hotspur came close to signing the centre-back last summer after making a bid worth €35 million.

Skriniar ended up staying with the Nerazzurri and now the Premier League side would have to offer far more if they wanted to stand a chance of a deal.

Antonio Conte has made the 26-year-old a key player in his three-man defence again, having mostly preferred Diego Godin during the second half of last season.

Reporting the news from Gazzetta, PassioneInter explained that Skriniar has returned to performing at a top level after having a difficult first season under Conte where he had to try and adapt to the 3-5-2 system.

Skriniar has benefitted in particular from returning to the right-hand side of Inter’s back three, having had to play out of position on the left last season.

The Slovak now looks like the defender who flourished in his first seasons at Inter again, demonstrating grit, positional sense and incredible strength in one-on-one situations.

Skriniar has scored two goals in 25 appearances across all competitions for the Nerazzurri this season.
