AC Milan forward Mario Mandzukic is likely to miss tomorrow’s derby against Inter due to a muscle injury, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

The report details how the entire management team were present at the team’s training ground at Milanello, with the executives attending the morning training session to prepare for tomorrow’s key Milanese derby.

The 34-year-old Mandzukic, who is contracted to the Rossoneri until the end of the season, is set to miss tomorrow’s derby after suffering a muscle injury in the 2-2 draw against Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League earlier this week.

The former Juventus and Bayern Munich man has made five appearances across all competitions this campaign for Stefano Pioli’s side, for a total of 158 minutes. He has yet to make a league start for the Rossoneri this season.

The 34-year-old Croatian has a strong record against Inter in his career, having scored five goals and providing two assists in seven appearances total.
