Inter striker Romelu Lukaku can set a goal scoring record in tomorrow’s derby against AC Milan, , Italian media reports.

According to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, no player has scored in four Milan derbies in the Serie A since the introduction of three points for a win.

The report details how the 27-year-old Belgian forward, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, has scored in all four of his meetings against the Rossoneri since signing for the club in August 2019.

Should Lukaku score against AC Milan tomorrow, he would set a record as no player has scored in four consecutive Serie A Milanese derbies in the three point era, the report continues.

The last player to achieve this feat in general was Romeo Benetti with AC Milan in 1973. Other times it has happened include with Giuseppe Meazza at Inter in 1943 and with Amarildo at AC Milan in 1966.
