Benevento President Oreste Vigorito: “Inter Are The Favourites In The Title Race”

Benevento president Oreste Vigorito has tipped Inter as the favourites in this season’s title race when speaking on the Italian radio yesterday.

In an interview with Centro Suono Sport during the ‘Borderò’ programme, Vigorito discussed this season’s title race.

“Inter. I’m very impressed with them, Conte has a great personality and they have a very strong squad with excellent substitutions.”

Inter currently sit top of the Serie A table after 22 games with 50 points, one ahead of rivals AC Milan and eight ahead of reigning champions Juventus.

The Nerazzurri can further extend their lead at the top with a win against their intercity rivals this afternoon.

Today’s Milanese derby is the first one in a decade that will decide who is first in the Serie A table, with Stefano Pioli’s side incredibly keen to make up for their painful 2-0 loss to 16^th place Spezia last weekend.

The Rossoneri also had a tough night in Europe earlier this week, drawing 2-2 away to Red Star Belgrade, whereas Antonio Conte’s side had the full week to rest and prepare for today’s match.
