Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen is in line for a starting berth in the Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan today, despite the return to fitness of Arturo Vidal.
The Nerazzurri take on their city rivals in a top of the table clash in Serie A and as reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, coach Antonio Conte has opted for Denmark international Eriksen in his three-man midfield.
Former Barcelona man Vidal has completed his recovery from an injury sustained against Fiorentina at the start of the month but is likely to find himself on the bench, with Conte impressed with Eriksen’s recent form.
Elsewhere, Ivan Perisic is expected to retain his starting spot at left wing-back ahead of Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian, as Conte turns to an unchanged line-up from the team that beat Lazio 3-1 last time out.
Victory for Inter would see them increase their lead at the top of the Serie A table to four points, having overtaken Milan last weekend.
