Ahead of the Derby della Madonnina today, Inter go into the clash with a squad of greater market value than AC Milan, Italian media suggest.

The two city rivals square off at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in a top of the table clash in Serie A, with Inter looking to extend their lead to four points with victory.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, it is the Nerazzurri with the more expensive squad of the two, citing Transfermarkt.com as valuing Inter’s team at €607.3 million.

In comparison, Milan’s squad is considered to be worth €496.3m, whilst Inter’s €76m annual spend on wages dwarfs the Rossoneri’s €48m.

Similarly, Inter coach Antonio Conte and his staff currently earn €14m net between them, whilst Milan tactician Stefano Pioli and his staff are paid considerably less at €3.5m.

Corriere dello Sport also found that Milan’s average age within the squad was just 25.04 years, in comparison to Inter’s 28.2.
