Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic produced his best display of the season in the second half of Inter’s 3-0 win over AC Milan today, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin.

Antonio Conte’s side moved four points clear at the top of Serie A after a comprehensive win in the Derby della Madonnina at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, with a Lautaro Martinez brace and a goal from Romelu Lukaku sealing the victory.

However, with the score still at 1-0 in the opening minutes of the second half, captain Handanovic was on hand to produce a string of stunning saves to keep Milan at bay, denying Zlatan Ibrahimovic twice before turning a Sandro Tonali effort over the crossbar.

It prompted journalist Biasin to take to social media and suggest that Handanovic had done more in the opening moments of the half than anything he had achieved so far this season, amidst an underwhelming campaign for the 36-year-old.

“Handanovic did more in the opening 200 seconds of the second half than in the whole season,” Biasin tweeted.
