Former Inter defender Riccardo Ferri expressed his sadness over the death of former defender Mauro Bellugi, who sadly passed away yesterday at the age of 71, in a post on his Instagram page.

Bellugi had his legs amputated in December of last year after complications stemming from his battle with Covid-19, but remained positive and in good spirits.

In his playing career, he spent five years with the Nerazzurri, from 1969 to 1974, where he helped the side win a league title.

Ferri expressed his sadness in a post on Instagram, saying: “Goodbye my friend. RIP.”
