Antonio Conte is taking nothing for granted after Inter’s victory in the Milan derby yesterday, according to an Italian media report.

Conte took the Nerazzurri four points clear of AC Milan with a crushing 3-0 win at San Siro, courtesy of a double from Lautaro Martinez and superb individual goal from Romelu Lukaku.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition reported that while Conte had given his players two days off after Sunday’s win, he was already focused on Inter’s upcoming challenges in Serie A.

“The matches against Genoa and Parma will tell us about our level of maturity,” he warned in his post-match interview, as quoted by the Milanese paper today.

Conte was incessant on the touchline during the Derby della Madonnina, urging his players to keep pressing right until the final whistle despite the comfortable scoreline.

Lukaku looked to the side-lines at one point and widened his arms, the paper reported, but Conte was in no mood to let anybody slacken off.

Inter’s next match sees them host Genoa on Sunday before the Nerazzurri travel to play Parma in a midweek round.
