Inter’s derby demolition of AC Milan was a glorious team effort, as explained by an Italian media report today.

Antonio Conte’s side stormed four points clear of their city rivals at the top of Serie A courtesy of goals from Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku.

Corriere della Sera’s print edition described the Nerazzurri as ‘a magnificent orchestra’ during yesterday’s 3-0 win.

“Everything flowed to perfection,” the Milanese publication reported this morning.

“Conte’s side are favourites to win the Scudetto for their balance, their solidity and the determination with which they win games.

“He is enjoying his creation, balanced and convinced, which has proved itself stronger than Inter’s off-field torments and is headed for the title.

“Without European commitments it will be difficult to stop Inter, who are showing a big heart and seem to have solved all their problems.”

Lukaku was hailed as ‘Inter’s sunshine’ after becoming the first player in the club’s history to score in five consecutive Milan derbies.

But for once the Belgian had to leave the spotlight for his partner in crime, the report continued, with Lautaro producing a perfect performance after scoring in each half.

Christian Eriksen was praised for his performance in midfield, having helped Inter stretch AC Milan’s defence with quality passing.

Ivan Perisic continued his transformation at left wing-back, meanwhile, with another display that reminded the paper of Samuel Eto’o’s full-back displays under Jose Mourinho.
