Inter’s corporate problems are helping bring the best out of head coach Antonio Conte, a report in the Italian media argued today.
The Nerazzurri stormed four points clear of AC Milan at the top of Serie A yesterday with a dominant 3-0 win in the Derby della Madonnina.
Conte’s side have hit form just as owners Suning are battling to resolve the club’s off-field issues, and Libero’s print edition said that was no coincidence.
“Suning’s project came to a halt in August but paradoxically this has given Inter back the best version of Conte,” they suggested.
“Conte is the man who turns limitations into a reason to outdo himself.”
Inter president Steven Zhang is reportedly seeking a loan to cover the club’s short-term costs, as per a report this morning, and hopes to remain president.
The Nerazzurri’s chief financial officer Tim Williams has confirmed Suning are looking for financial partners to help them through their delicate period.
Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez grabbed the goals for Conte’s side against their city rivals, wrapping up a fourth straight win in Serie A.
Inter now face matches against Genoa and Parma in the next 10 days and Conte is already focused on taking maximum points from those.
