The impact of midfielders Christian Eriksen and Ivan Perisic have been cited as amongst the key reasons for Inter’s dominant recent form.

Antonio Conte’s side currently sit top of Serie A as they seek a first Scudetto since 2010, and opened up a four point gap on AC Milan last weekend after thrashing the Rossoneri 3-0 in the Derby della Madonnina.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, much of the credit should go to Eriksen and Perisic after they put underwhelming starts to the season behind them to play key roles since the turn of the year.

Denmark international Eriksen has cemented his spot in the starting line-up after the catching the eye in recent weeks, netting in a 2-1 Coppa Italia win over Milan and impressing against the Diavolo last time out.

Conte, meanwhile, has been praised for converting Perisic into an effective wing-back and the Croatian has thrived recently, laying on two assists in the derby victory at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza last week.
