Inter recorded their 5th win on the trot in the Serie A dominating the match against Genoa from start to finish at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan’s San Siro district.

The Nerazzurri dominated the match from start to finish and should have gone into halftime with the same scoreline that the match ended in. Romelu Lukaku scored and assists Darmian for the 2-0 goal before Alexis Sanchez made it 3-0.

Samir Handanovic – 6 : The only real shot he had to save in the whole game was the one where Samir dropped the ball onto Skriniar. The defense did their job very well.

Milan Skriniar – 7: Genoa did not pressure his flank much, but whenever they did, he saw the move first and stopped the chance. Continues his good run of form. Wall.

Stefan De Vrij – 6.5: Not much defending to do but plenty of work on the ball for Stefan today. Moved the ball in a timely fashion and kept the pressure on beautifully.

Alessandro Bastoni – 6.5: Just like Skriniar on the right flank, Bastoni decided to shut down any chance and made his forays forward effectively. Playing like a veteran at 21.

Matteo Darmian – 7: Matteo had to fill in the huge boots of Hakimi on the right and apart from the finishing he did not disappoint. Used the spaces well. Good defensively

Nicolo Barella – 7.5: Barella is the Lukaku of Inter’s midfield. Whatever he touches turns to gold and he creates chances for fun in this sort of form. Runs for two players.

Marcelo Brozovic – 7: Brozovic did not have the best of starts but as is now standard, he grew into the game. Huge contributor in both phases of play in the Conte system.

Christian Eriksen – 6.5: Eriksen has always been good on the ball and now does not make any mistakes. Defensively he closed down spaces like he has been doing it for years.

Ivan Perisic – 6.5: Ivan continued his good run of form. Defensively solid and the runs and combination with Bastoni as well as Lautaro caused Genoa a lot of trouble.

Romelu Lukaku – 7.5: Nowadays if you plan to give Lukaku space and time to turn and run at you, it means you will concede a goal. Absolutely unstoppable from minute 1.

Lautaro Martinez – 7: Deserved a goal for his tactical prowess alone. Dropped deep and made the late runs almost like he was being remote controlled by Conte, ran a lot.

Roberto Gagliardini – 6: One bad touch in his 15 minutes or so. Provided the impact and steel Conte wanted at that moment of the game and the 3rd goal shut the game out.

Alexis Sanchez – 6.5: Conte asked for impact and better numbers from Alexis. Scored with his first touch. Lautaro had tired the Genoa defense and he finished them off.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – N/A: That curling shot would have been a nice birthday gift for his son Leo. Always a nice option to have a versatile player as D’Ambrosio on the bench.

Ashley Young – N/A: Good player to bring on when you are leading 3-0 and need some pace on the flank. Did well for his 6 mins defensively and shut down the flank.

Arturo Vidal – N/A: Hopefully, the injury worries are behind him now. A fit and firing Vidal will provide ammunition off the bench for Conte. Nice to see him coming on.

Antonio Conte – 7: Perfect game plan and executed well right from the first minute. The only negative from the game was failure to finish the game in the first half.

Daniele Chiffi – 7.5: No major decisions to make. Both teams will not have any complaints from the referee. Good use of VAR for Alexis’ goal. Correct yellows for Genoa

Inter – 7: Another three points to heap the pressure on Milan and Juve regardless of their results. Inter’s performance showed why many think they will win it.
