Inter are clear favourites to win the Serie A title for three reasons, according to Benevento coach Filippo Inzaghi.

The Nerazzurri are four points clear of Super Pippo’s former side AC Milan with 14 games remaining, having consolidated their lead with Sunday’s 3-0 win over Genoa.

Inzaghi’s Benevento conceded nine goals in two games against his old Juventus teammate Antonio Conte this season and he sees little reason to back against Inter for the Scudetto.

Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview for Tuesday’s print edition, Inzaghi said: “Inter and AC Milan both looked good to me when we faced them.

“On paper Inter’s squad is stronger than AC Milan’s, who are going beyond all expectations and have kept a very high pace all season.

“AC Milan would pull off a miracle if they won the league, whereas Inter, because of the structure of their team, their squad depth and the lack of European commitments, remain favourites.”

Inter secured a 5-2 win over Benevento in their second match of the season before winning 4-0 in the return fixture at San Siro.

Conte’s side will aim to preserve their advantage at the top of the table when they visit Parma on Thursday.

Achraf Hakimi is expected to return to the side after serving a one-match suspension against Genoa, but otherwise the Nerazzurri’s starting XI should be unchanged.
