Inter coach Antonio Conte is doing a great job of making every player feel involved this season, according to an Italian media report today.
As per Gazzetta dello Sport’s online edition, the former Italian national team coach is keeping everyone happy and that is easier said than done, considering the fact Inter are only competing in Serie A now.
It is far from easy to involve the ‘forgotten’ players with only one match a week to play, but Conte is nevertheless succeeding.
Team spirit is always the most important aspect of Conte’s teams, with Gazzetta offering Italy’s close-knit Euro 2016 side as a prime example.
Conte has managed to get everyone to buy into his ideas at Inter, even the Nerazzurri’s biggest players.
Romelu Lukaku is the prototype of Conte’s dream striker and it should be noted that the Belgian always uses ‘we’ in interviews, rather than just talk about himself, something the Milanese publication said explained a lot about the impact that he was having.
Conte has also managed to give a new lease of life to both Ivan Perisic and Christian Eriksen as well, just weeks after both seemed likely to leave Inter in January.
Alexis Sanchez has also been kept happy, even though he is very much the back-up option to both Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez in attack.
Inter held talks with Roma over a Sanchez-Dzeko swap deal in January and it did have a bit of an impact on Sanchez initially, when the deal didn’t happen.
The Chilean forward took a few days after that to recharge his batteries, though, and is now very much part of Inter’s group again.
