Christian Eriksen has helped Inter to transform the way they play and now they play better football, at least according to noted Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin.

The Danish national team player has made the left-sided central midfield spot his own in recent weeks, having completely turned things around for himself at the club after a difficult first year where he was struggling to perform.

The former Tottenham Hotspur player is now performing and Inter are benefitting from this and as a result they are playing better.

“Inter now play good football and it is not happening by chance,” Biasin remarked as part of his latest editorial for Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

“Antonio Conte has managed to improve certain mechanisms and the rest was done by Christian Eriksen, who plays with at most two touches, has brought speed to the attacking phase and allows Marcelo Brozovic to have less pressure and responsibility.”

Biasin, who is a well known Inter fan, also commented on the current corporate situation of the Nerazzurri club, which is far from clear.

Owners Suning are thought to be considering selling the club after just over four and a half years at the helm in Milan.

“It is useless to pretend that everything is calm and normal, because it is not,” he admitted.

“It is also useless to say ‘it will end like this’, because information from the parent company does not arrive.

“At this moment we can only stick to the few official statements: ‘We will keep our commitments until the end of the season.’

“It is very little, but what else can we do.”
