Inter coach Antonio Conte regards tomorrow evening’s Serie A match as a stress test for three different reasons, according to an Italian media report today.

As per Tuttosport’s print edition, even though 41 points separate first-placed Inter and 19th-placed Parma in the league table, Conte is wary of the threat posed by the Ducali (as confirmed by his comments in this afternoon’s pre-match press conference).

Conte’s first reason to fear Parma is because he knows Inter are obliged to win at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, in order to maintain their four-point lead over title rivals AC Milan (assuming the Rossoneri beat Udinese tonight).

The second reason is because Conte is coming up against his close friend Roberto D’Aversa, someone who knows how to cause problems for Conte’s teams by reading his moves in advance.

The third and final reason is due to how the last meeting between the two sides went, with Inter held to a 2-2 draw at San Siro in October, although Fabio Liverini was in charge of Parma then.

During Conte’s tenure in charge of Inter, in fact, he has faced Parma three times and has won just once, and even on that occasion – last July after lockdown – Inter were trailing until the final 15 minutes.
