Milan Skriniar believes Inter’s win at Parma was proof of how the Nerazzurri’s mentality has improved this season.

Antonio Conte’s side secured a 2-1 victory at the Stadio Ennio Tardini courtesy of a second-half double from Alexis Sanchez.

Hernani’s goal for the home side was not enough to stop Inter moving six points clear at the top of Serie A, despite an off-colour performance at times.

“It wasn’t a brilliant performance, but the three points were important today,” Skriniar told Inter TV.

“Parma have always created problems for us, so we are happy to have brought these three points home.

“We knew that they would rely a lot on long balls, we also conceded a goal, but the three points were important.

“Perhaps in previous years we would not have brought this game home and from this point of view we also see the growth.”

Skriniar also looked ahead to this coming Monday’s Serie A match at home to Atalanta, who they drew 1-1 with earlier on in the season.

“We killed the game off with the second goal, we had the chances to score a third or fourth, but in the end the three points are what count, now we are preparing for Monday’s match.

“Atalanta will be a tough opponent.”

Inter will have all their key players available for selection at San Siro after Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, Alessandro Bastoni and Romelu Lukaku all avoided bookings.
