Inter are one of three elite European clubs interested in signing Real Betis defender Aissa Mandi, according to a French media report today.

As per FennecFootball.com, the Algerian’s contract with Betis expires at the end of this season and the Nerazzurri are tempted by the idea of picking up Mandi on a free transfer.

AC Milan and Liverpool are also interested in signing the 29-year-old, who also has interest in Saudi Arabia from Al-Ahli.

Mandi’s first round of talks with Real Betis over a contract extension came to nothing, with the La Liga side struggling to meet the defender’s demands.

The coming weeks will be decisive in determining the centre-back’s future, who clearly has no shortage of suitors in his services.

The report went on to add that a return to France, where Mandi previously played for Stade de Reims, cannot be ruled out considering Lyon have shown an interest in him in the past.

The French-born defender, who has been with Real Betis since 2016, has made 23 appearances across all competitions this season, in which he has scored three goals and provided a single assist.
