Romelu Lukaku is a sensational player at this moment in time, according to legendary AC Milan defender Alessandro Costacurta.

The Inter striker set up both goals for Alexis Sanchez last night as Antonio Conte’s side went six points clear at the top of Serie A with victory at Parma.

Lukaku’s assists against the Ducali took his league tally for the season to eight, a new personal record for him in Europe’s so-called top five leagues.

Speaking during Sky Sport Italia’s pre-game show last night, Costacurta said: “Lukaku is truly a sensational player at the moment, he brings the best out of anyone who plays with him.

“I think if myself and Massimo Marianella (also in Sky’s studios last night) played behind Lukaku, even we’d score a few goals.

“Lukaku makes everyone better.”

The 27-year-old has scored 24 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions this season, including one inside 32 seconds during last Sunday’s 3-0 win over Genoa.

Inter have a golden opportunity now to win their first league title in 11 years, having won 15 of their last 18 games in Serie A.

Only runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City have picked up more points than the Nerazzurri during the same period of time.

Conte’s men will look to take another stride towards the Scudetto when they welcome in-form Atalanta to San Siro on Monday.

Costacurta also heaped praise on Lukaku’s teammate Alessandro Bastoni last night.
