Alexis Sanchez was Inter’s star performer in last night’s 2-1 away win over Parma, according to an Italian media report today.

The Chilean national team player was largely ineffective and barely noticeable in the first half, but in the second half he scored twice and Corriere dello Sport’s print edition rewarded him with a rating of 7.5/10 for his performance.

Sanchez’s goals took Inter six points clear at the top of Serie A following a hard-fought victory at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

“His double is worth gold to Inter,” the Rome-based publication wrote.

Five players all received 6.5 for their efforts against Roberto D’Aversa’s side, namely Samir Handanovic, Stefan de Vrij, Achraf Hakimi, Marcelo Brozovic and Romelu Lukaku.

Antonio Conte also got 6.5 for his coaching display, with CdS describing the win as ‘fully deserved’ despite an off-colour display in parts.

Milan Skriniar, Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella, Christian Eriksen and Arturo Vidal all meanwhile receieved ratings of 6/10.

The worst performing player for Inter was Ivan Perisic, with the Croatian rated 5.5 after his role in Parma’s goal.
