Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has been named February’s player of the month by the Italian Footballers’ Association (AIC).

The Belgian international’s peers in Serie A, as well as players in Serie B and Serie C, voted for him as the best player for last month, as announced by the AIC on their Instagram profile.

Lukaku had already won February’s most valuable player award from Serie A this week and now the 27-year-old has another formal recognition for his spectacular performances.

The former Manchester United player had a great February, scoring four goals and providing three assists for a total of seven goal contributions.

Lukaku’s goal contributions have helped Inter to pull away at the top of the Serie A table and he has made a good start to this month as well, providing the assists for both of Alexis Sanchez’s goals in last night’s 2-1 away win at Parma.

He has made 32 appearances in all competitions under Antonio Conte this season, scoring 24 goals and providing eight assists.
