Romelu Lukaku set a new personal assist record during Inter’s victory at Parma on Thursday, as highlighted by stats company Opta.

The Belgian national team forward swapped scoring goals for setting up goals in the 2-1 win at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, turning provider for Alexis Sanchez in the second half.

Lukaku has now taken his total in Serie A to eight assists this season, which is a new record for the Belgian in Europe’s five major leagues (England, Italy, Spain, France and Germany).
