Inter welcome Atalanta to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Serie A on Monday evening, with the visitors looking to end a winless streak going back seven years.
League leaders Inter are hoping to continue their push for the Serie A title, whilst La Dea challenge for Champions League qualification and come into the match in great form.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the visitors have been dominant in away matches this season and have only lost once on the road, with 10 wins and five draws from 16 away trips.
Indeed, coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s away record with the Bergamo club stands at 54 wins and just 25 defeats from 109 matches, although the tactician has never beaten his former club Inter at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
The Orobici’s last away victory over Inter came under Stefano Colantuono in March 2014, with a last minute Giacomo Bonaventura goal sealing a 2-1 victory for the visitors. However, the two most recent meetings both ended in draws, with a 1-1 last season following a goalless stalemate in 2018-19.
