Inter coach Antonio Conte is looking to win the Scudetto this season and begin a cycle of dominance with the Nerazzurri over the coming years.

Sitting six points clear at the top of the Serie A table, Inter are in position to win a first Scudetto since 2010 and bring Juventus’ run of nine consecutive league titles to an end.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Conte put aside concerns with the hierarchy of the club to one side at a meeting last summer and is focused on a period of sustained success with Inter.

Alongside CEO Beppe Marotta, Conte played a significant role in Juventus’ cycle of dominance over the past decade after leading the Bianconeri to the first three of their league titles.

Whilst there have been no discussions over an extension to Conte’s contract, due to expire in 2022, the focus has been on developing a young squad that can continue to improve and challenge over the coming years.

Discussions over contract extensions for key players such as Lautaro Martinez and Alessandro Bastoni have already begun, whilst Conte is also motivated by achieving success in Europe after Inter’s elimination from the Champions League at the Group Stage in December.
