Inter welcome Atalanta to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Serie A tomorrow evening, in a clash between two sides closing in on success.

Antonio Conte’s team are on course for a first Scudetto since 2010 as they sit six points clear at the top of the table, whilst La Dea under Gian Piero Gasperini have maintained a push for Champions League qualification.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the teams appear similar at first glance, with Inter and Atalanta the top scorers in the league on 62 and 60 respectively, whilst both employing passionate and competitive coaches.

However, the pair operate different tactical systems, with Conte favouring a mixed approach to regaining possession by altering between a high press and patience. Gasperini, on the other hand, sets Atalanta out to press high up the pitch and pressure the opposition goalkeeper.

Elsewhere, Atalanta take greater risks and are more willing to leave space in behind their defence in order to achieve their style, a trait that Inter may look to exploit with the pace of striker Romelu Lukaku.
