The return to form of Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen has given Antonio Conte’s side greater creativity and the Dane will be expected to provide that spark against Atalanta.

After enduring a difficult 12 months since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in January 2020, Eriksen has played his way back into contention since the turn of the year and started Inter’s last five matches in all competitions.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Eriksen’s ability to open up play and create opportunities for his teammates has reduced the burden on fellow midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, allowing the Croatia international to become more effective.

With Conte’s style of play focused on rigid patterns and movements, the unpredictability of Eriksen has offered an alternative for the Nerazzurri and the coach is expected to turn to the 29-year-old to provide this quality against Atalanta tomorrow.

Inter welcome La Dea to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Serie A and hope to extend their unbeaten home run against them, stretching back to March 2014.
