After dropping to the bench for Thursday’s 2-1 win over Parma, Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is set to return to the starting line-up for the match against Atalanta tomorrow.
The Argentina international was rested as the Nerazzurri secured victory in midweek with his replacement Alexis Sanchez netting a brace.
However, as reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Martinez will reclaim his position in attack at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza to partner Romelu Lukaku.
Chile international Arturo Vidal had also been fighting for a place in the starting line-up and was challenging Christian Eriksen, but the Dane is expected to edge him out and hold on to his position after a run of impressive performances.
Coach Antonio Conte is not believed to be considering any other changes to his usual team, with a defence of Milan Skriniar, Stefan De Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni in front of goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.
Achraf Hakimi and Ivan Perisic will operate as wing-backs, either side of Eriksen, Nicolo Barella and Marcelo Brozovic, whilst Martinez and Lukaku will lead the line.
