Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez is threatening Lautaro Martinez’s place in the starting line–up for the game against Atalanta, an Italian broadcaster reports.
In a report aired yesterday afternoon, SportMediaset claimed that Sanchez’s good form has raised a big question in Conte’s mind regarding his number one attacking duo: Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.
The duo, nicknamed LuLa, have been carrying the Nerazzurri attack for almost two seasons now, but it may be time for a temporary change, the report claims.
Alexis Sanchez has scored five goals and made five assists in the 18 matches he has played so far this season, and is coming fresh off a brace against Parma to add to his goal against Genoa, this past week.
Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku have scored a combined tally of 31 goals in the Serie A this season, and it doesn’t look like their run is stopping any time soon.
However, Inter coach Antonio Conte wants to be sure to have fresh players in terms of energy as well as several attacking options.
The final decision will be made in the last afternoon training tomorrow.
