Inter would take a gigantic step towards the Serie A title if they beat Atalanta tonight, at least according to one famous Nerazzurri fan.

Antonio Conte’s side want to re-establish their six-point lead over AC Milan with victory at San Siro.

Amedeo Sebastiani, an Italian media personality better known as Amadeus, has given his beloved Inter one piece of advice for the clash with Gian Piero Gasperini’s in-form side.

“It is a delicate challenge for Inter who will have to face it as if it were a final,” the Sanremo host told Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview for Monday’s print edition.

“If they win, it would be three hugely important points for us.”

Amadeus was also asked about who he feared most in terms of Inter’s rivals, after AC Milan and Juventus came through tricky matches against Hellas Verona and Lazio to win this weekend.

“I have always maintained that AC Milan are a very strong, compact team that never gives up,” he said.

“Inter will have to remain very focused to aim for the Scudetto.

“The Rossoneri have enthusiasm and awareness and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will soon recover.

“And then there is Juventus, who are used to winning.”

The 58-year-old presenter also noted a similarity between himself and Inter coach Antonio Conte, who is little over a year and a half into his tenure as coach of the Nerazzurri.

“I respect him very much, I like the way he tackles things and how he points straight towards a goal,” Amadeus added.

“I am like that too.”
