Inter must watch out for Juventus in the race for the Serie A title, according to a leading Italian football writer.

Antonio Conte’s side will look to re-establish their six-point lead over AC Milan in second tonight when they welcome Atalanta to San Siro.

But Mario Sconcerti believes the Rossoneri are no longer Inter’s greatest threat for the Scudetto.

“In the last 11 matches AC Milan have lost six points to Juventus and four to Inter, both of whom have played one game less,” he wrote in a column for Monday’s print edition of Corriere della Sera.

“Let’s wait for Inter, today Juventus are the team that is advancing.

“If they beat Napoli in their game in hand, then they are right with AC Milan.”

Sconcerti also looked ahead to this evening’s match between Serie A’s two Nerazzurri sides, highlighting that both teams have been in scintillating form since the turn of the year.

“Inter and Atalanta have been running at the same pace for more than two months,” he explained.

“It means that the best Inter of the season has not gained a single point on Atalanta, but also that Atalanta have not recovered anything on Inter in 11 games.”

Inter versus Atalanta is scheduled to kick-off at 20:45 local time later on today and it will be the second time that the sides meet this season following a 1-1 draw earlier on this season.

Arturo Vidal and Lautaro Martinez could both be in line to start against Gian Piero Gasperini’s side, as per a report earlier.
