Inter’s winning streak in the Serie A was extended to 7 after a 1-0 win against Atalanta at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza after a goal in the second half from MOTM Milan Skriniar.

The Nerazzurri struggled throughout the game against a very good Atalanta squad who were dangerous in attack and very solid in defence.

However, the Nerazzurri were much better in attack whilst maintaining their defensive solidity when Christian Eriksen came on and managed to snatch all 3 points.

Samir Handanovic – 8: Brilliant save off Zapata from that corner, made no other major mistakes. Had to play a lot with his feet tonight with a lot of pressing. Amazing game

Milan Skriniar – 8.5: Zapata is probably one of the physically strongest forwards in the Serie A and Skriniar had him under control for most of the game. WHAT A GOAL!

Stefan De Vrij – 7.5: Kept doing the simple things right as the press from Atalanta ensured he had to think quicker. Zapata got the better of him once, but Samir was there.

Alessandro Bastoni – 7.5: Another great outing for Bastoni. Almost always nailed his passes forward and managed to help create openings which were few and far between.

Achraf Hakimi – 6: Struggled in the first few minutes to construct a move as Gosens did not give him any space or time. Slowly grew into the game only defensively.

Nicolo Barella – 6.5: For the second game in a row, it looked like Barella started this game tired. The press was difficult but Nicolo could be his usual world class self. Ran a lot.

Marcelo Brozovic – 7.5: Conte has a lot of players that are crucial. Perhaps Brozo is the most important piece. Instrumental in creating moves as well as helping win the ball.

Arturo Vidal – 5.5: Many eyebrows were raised as Conte decided to start Vidal. Well off the pace and made too many errors. Unable to contribute to attack or in defense.

Ivan Perisic – 7: Inter got through on Ivan’s flank more easily as Atalanta kept Hakimi caged most of time. The final ball was the only thing he got wrong. Great game.

Romelu Lukaku – 6: Got behind the Atalanta’s defense a few times but failed to capitalize on their errors and his chances. His hold up play was good when he got the ball.

Lautaro Martinez – 6.5: Ran from the first minute as Atalanta made him chase the ball. The combination play with Lukaku was excellent. Put a shift defensively on Ilicic.

Christian Eriksen – 7: Him coming on gave the midfield some breathing space but not for long as Inter scored almost immediately. Vidal will struggle for game time now.

Alexis Sanchez – N/A: Full of running as he replaced a tired Lautaro. Used the ball very well and won important free kicks to run the clock down. Experience off the bench.

Roberto Gagliardini – N/A: Came on with a mission and that was to disrupt and be physical against his former club. Made some nice tackles and was always pressing his man.

Matteo Darmian – N/A: Matteo was thrown on as Ivan really had run his game. Got his positioning absolutely spot on and kept Inter in the Atalanta corner towards the end.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – N/A: Just as Darmian was brought on for Perisic, DD came on for Hakimi. Took a shot to his head and used his experience to not milk it as Atalanta pushed.

Antonio Conte – 6.5: Conte got his line up wrong after a long time. Vidal should not be anywhere near the starting lineup. Good use and timing of the subs tonight.

Maurizio Mariani – 7: Mariani had a difficult game to referee in but he ensured that his role would not be the talking point. Not many major decisions to make. Kept calm.

Inter – 8: Crucial win and a great team performance. Inter have failed with pressure on their backs many times. Gigantic performance and a huge three points.
