Milan Skriniar’s goal for Inter against Atalanta means the Nerazzurri now have one of Europe’s most prolific defences, as highlighted by stats company Opta.

Skriniar scored his third league goal of the campaign on Monday to secure a 1-0 win over Gian Piero Gasperini’s side at San Siro.

This means Inter now have three defenders with at least three goals this season, with Danilo D’Ambrosio and Achraf Hakimi being the others.

Bundesliga high-flyers RB Leipzig are the only other team in Europe’s so-called top five leagues to boast such a record.
