Inter’s current back three is the new version of Inter coach Antonio Conte’s legendary ‘BBC’ defence from his days in charge of Juventus, an Italian media report has claimed today.

During his tenure as Juventus coach, Conte could rely on a back three of Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini and at Inter he can now rely upon Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni.

FCInter1908.it point out that Inter have kept seven clean sheets in their last nine league games and have conceded just two goals in this time, which is a drastic turnaround compared to the start of the season with Inter conceding 23 in their first 17 games.

Conte won the Serie A title three times with Juventus and a big reason in this was the solid defence, which was the best defence in the league each season.

Inter’s defence has nothing to envy about that historic ‘BBC’ defence and the report goes on to add that time is certainly on the side of Inter’s defender who have a much younger average age than that of ‘BBC’ during their peak years.

The report even argued Skriniar, De Vrij and Bastoni were more important to Conte’s Inter than the other three were to Juventus.
